Emmanuel Bamidele Omuje
Emmanuel is a dedicated and ambitious facilities management graduate student at Florida A&M University, with a strong architectural background. Holding a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Architecture from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria, Emmanuel possesses a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. With 3 years of professional experience in architecture, Emmanuel developed expertise in BIM modeling, design, construction documentation, and site supervision. Notably, he contributed to the design of the Lagos State Central Food Security Systems and Logistics Hub, poised to become Africa's largest fresh food market. Currently, Emmanuel is expanding his expertise by pursuing LEED certification, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable building practices and facilities management. He aims to leverage his architectural knowledge to address the challenges of inadequate maintenance culture in developing countries, promoting sustainable and well-maintained facilities. Through this scholarship, Emmanuel hopes to further his education, gain valuable exposure, and enhance his skills in facilities management, ultimately contributing to the development of sustainable and resilient facilities in underserved communities.
