THE DELAWARE CHAPTER REORGANIZES TO BETTER SERVE
The Delaware Chapter of IFMA Board of Directors has reorganized and realigned committees to begin the new IFMA Year that started on July 1st in order to better serve the membership. The new structure creates a Communications Committee that will incorporate the functions previously performed by the Website and Technology, Marketing, and some of the functions of the Partnering/Sponsors Program Committees. This change recognizes the interdependent relationship dynamic that occurs between membership, promotion of the Chapter's activities, and the value added significance of being a sponsor of an active and committed community of Facility Management Professionals.
The new Communications Committee, to be chaired by Mark Mankin, will take advantage of available technology to streamline communications with Chapter Members and to deliver up to date information for the Chapter's Award winning Web site. Launching an electronic newsletter is one goal of the new committee and one of the ways that we hope to enhance the flow of communication about upcoming events. John deProphetis joins the committee as a co-chair of Marketing, while Cheri Anderson-Tuohey and Bruce Finnicum will be co-chairs of Web site and Technology. The Membership Committee will become the Membership and Volunteer Committee and will continue with its efforts to increase and retain members under Danielle Alderman, the new chair of this committee. An addition to the focus of this group will be the addition of Denise Graham as Volunteer Chair, who will solicit and coordinate volunteers for the Chapter as needed for events and committee assignments going forward.
