Habitat for Humanity
Since 1995, IFMA Delaware has enthusiastically supported the work of Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County. Habitat's mission is to build affordable housing at no-profit through a combination of volunteer labor, “sweat equity,” and no-interest mortgages. They act in partnership with the local community as a diverse group, including individuals, partner families, faith groups, civic organizations, and businesses. The Delaware Chapter of IFMA is proud to be a partner with Habitat for Humanity, and our annual Golf Outing has provided donations in excess of $20,000 to help co-sponsor the building of individual houses. Our overall contribution since 1995 is now in excess of $200.000. In addition, IFMA members have volunteered their own time and expertise during monthly workdays at the building sites.
