About the Delaware Chapter of IFMA
Founded in 1990 by Youness Baftechi and now in its 19th year, the Delaware Chapter of IFMA is our local chapter of the International Facility Management Association. The Delaware Chapter provides members the opportunity to further their professional and personal development through education and networking in a welcoming environment.
The chapter has approximately 120 members, including four elected executive board positions, and seven appointed chairpersons. Chapter meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, October through June, and offer a variety of programs and meeting formats. Please check our current meeting section on our website www.ifmadelaware.org to get specific details about upcoming program meetings.
The Delaware Chapter of IFMA participates in the local community by supporting various charitable endeavors. Each year the chapter hosts a golf outing in September as a fundraiser for the New Castle County chapter of Habitat for Humanity. We have been proud to make donations each year, at times reaching $25,000. In addition to our work with Habitat, we support the profession of facility management by offering academic scholarships for individuals who are pursuing a degree in this field. We also support the profession through the IFMA Foundation.
We welcome you to attend one of our meetings to learn more about our chapter and to explore the many resources and benefits that come with membership in the Delaware Chapter of IFMA.
